Photo & Video Tasks

Use your smartphone to capture photos or videos that follow a specific brief. Choose a project only after checking its location, equipment, privacy, and payment requirements.

The Opportunity

This category covers separate photo and video collection projects, each with its own instructions. The selected photo project asks eligible adults to take smartphone photos of themselves. It is not an invitation to photograph other people or submit images you do not have permission to share. Read the project brief and consent terms before deciding whether to participate.

The researched photo opportunity lists $140 per approved task and targets eligible participants in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Video projects have different rules: the selected track is for eligible US participants and requires a supported device and mounting equipment. Payment is based on accepted video duration, which is different from the time you spend recording, preparing, or uploading.

For example, a capture brief may specify how to frame an image or how to submit a recording. Follow the actual instructions you receive. Acceptance criteria, equipment, location eligibility, and payment terms must all be confirmed for the particular project.

As an illustration, a video task paying $15 for an accepted hour of footage would work out to $10 per working hour if recording, setup, and upload took 1.5 hours in total. That time is an assumption for this example, not a promised completion time. Retakes, rejected footage, and extra preparation can lower effective earnings. Photo projects use their own fixed task payment instead.
